We Are Concentrate is a thoughtful hair care brand that has removed added water in its unique formula, packaged in an infinitely recyclable aluminium tube.
Designed by London independent designer Frankie Albion, it uses elegant on-trend pastels and a suitably chunky condensed sans serif typeface, the brand not only caters to the needs of the environment but also to the preferences of its aesthetically driven, target audience.
Where the genius in this brand lies is by going above and beyond by providing an additional tool – the Tube Squeezer – designed to make sure every last bit of the paste is extracted from the tube. This addition to the product range is a testament to the brand's commitment to reducing waste. The addition of a chain also makes it highly convenient to use in the shower.
An icon suite
Paris 2024 has just unveiled the look of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and a new set of 62 pictograms. Paris 2024's pictograms are designed to act as badges of honour to represent one's “chosen sporting family”, [source]. Paris 2024 design teams led the creative work in collaboration with agency W.
The International Olympic Committee explains that 23 Paralympic disciplines have 15 dedicated pictograms, while 8 pictograms will be shared between the Olympics and Paralympics. These were designed with universality and community in mind.
The uniqueness of the pictograms lies in their departure from the usual simplification of Olympic event icons. They are more expressive and some even convey additional aspects of the event - lanes, tracks, equipment etc. Compared to previous Olympics, these marks are more illustrative, increasing their potential for use in different application and possibly merchandising. Not all of them are highly successful, but they do enhance the ability to tell a "story" and add more personality to each event.
